about

The sound of silence can be soothing to the soul,
Some people need it loud, I prefer to be alone.
Empty conversations with zero replies sitting motionless
Drifting through the emotions in my mind.
My own private Idaho, I don’t know where they come from,
I just go where they stay numb. Saddening dynamics in my inner mechanics
Makes me obsess over anything, I need no distractions.
Reacting to everything in the most positive light, gravitating towards a purpose
That’s subtracted me from insight. Objectively I’m a reject,
But I’m still subject to some respect; don’t need to feed this regret.
We get better as we go, I should know I’ve been going from the get
No matter how hard it got. Living in the aftermath, aftercare programs
Trying to program in me their interpretation of a good man.

Barely an adult but already at fault, with good intentions bad decisions
Comes an alternate dimension. Risen from the ashes still carrying matches.
You never know some success might actually happen. Burn it while they’re clapping
Watch their reaction; chalk it up to the game now you know who you’ll stand with.
Demanding the best, accepting no less, all the ones who were right man,
They already left. Confessing at will to whoever sits still overthinking til its overkill nothing feels real. Hopefully overtime it overrides over the misguided lies
That I use to rationalize my life. It didn’t make sense so change was brought
Many days on my knees before I ever learned to walk.
Spent the pennies for my thoughts before I knew the cost
Now I’m digging in a well for all the wishes that I lost.

With no distractions at my disposal I took a nosedive in to a business proposal.
One chance one strike you’re out Huh, no one to bail me out.
Chasing me down like a cat and a mouse, new cities new towns nowhere to be found
I’m still around just under the ground you know, just trying to figure it out.
No defense team to come to my aid, appointed afraid only cares to get paid
What can I say? Live to fight another day woo, until they hauled me away.
They know who you are, they see al your scars, no chance to run, wont get very far.
Is it fear or relief? Well at least you’re getting some sleep.

Awake to the sounds of all of your actions, there’s no more distractions,
They finally trapped ya. Scared of what’s next with nobody to tell, as I talk to my hand in the middle of hell! Oh well, I had a nice run, I wouldn’t call it fun
But at least its all done. Tragic assumptions of what’s yet to come
Bid farewell to the freedom, say goodbye to the sun.
A limit was placed I cant ever take back,
Giving in to temptation left a sustainable crack, My foundation was weak
So I needed some years. I never believed the silence would follow me here.
It did, my luck’s been sincere. Ignored in my ignorance it all became clear.
Nothing else matters, except what we share, We all need each other to become aware
